Dr. Wayne Woods attended the University of Houston where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then followed his childhood dream of becoming a dentist and attended Baylor College of Dentistry where he received his Degree in Dentistry.
Dr. Woods remained at Baylor College of Dentistry for 12 years as a highly respected Clinical Instructor in the Department of Restorative Sciences, and was later promoted to an Associate Professor position. During his tenure at Baylor, he was honored to receive the “Teacher of the Year” award which is chosen by the students. While teaching at Baylor, he also maintained a private practice in restorative dentistry.
After twelve years of being an instructor, Dr. Woods returned to Baylor College of Dentistry as a student to specialize in Orthodontics, and received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. Since specializing, he practiced Orthodontics in the Park Cities area for 11 years, and now operates his own Orthodontic practice in North Dallas, where he continues to provide exceptional care to both adult and adolescent orthodontic patients.
In addition to his passion for Orthodontics, Dr. Woods devotes his time and talents serving in numerous positions of leadership within the Dallas County Dental Society and serves on the Board of the Dallas County Dental Society Foundation. He has held many offices and received many awards and honors within this organization including: Dallas County Dental Society President, New Dentist of the Year Award, Presidential Award and Dentist of the Year Award.
While away from the office, he and his wife, Michelle, who also works in his office, enjoy trying to keep up with their 3 children.
